Sri Lanka cooking class

A Sri Lankan cooking class is of course dedicated to the local cuisine. Secretly curious about Sri Lankan cuisine and would you like to share it with friends and family? During the cooking workshop from Sri Lanka we provide a number of local dishes, based on the well-known rice with side dishes such as dal (lentils), papadam and fish, chicken or beef.

The cuisine in Sri Lanka is not as sophisticated as in many other Asian countries, but it still has more than enough to offer for an exciting cooking workshop.

Costa Rica cooking class

During the cooking class Costa Rica you will work with a number of culinary traditions, brought together from Africa, South-West Europe and China. In that respect, the cuisine of Costa Rica is a unique combination. This cooking workshop is a good choice if you would like to get to know the cuisine of Costa Rica better. Thanks to its location between two oceans, fish, shellfish and crustaceans cannot be missed. In addition, the kitchen of Costa Rica is known for the large amount of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Mexican cooking class

A Mexico cooking class provides a unique insight into the world of Mexican cuisine. The cuisine is known all over the world, although many people do not know that it is actually a combination of the Aztec, Maya and Spanish cuisines. The Aztec influence can still be found thanks to the use of corn in many of the dishes. During the Mexican cooking workshop we will of course work with this, as with a number of other typically local ingredients. Mexican cuisine has a number of delicious dishes, it is not surprising that the Spaniards have succeeded in making the dishes popular all over the world. In the Netherlands, for example, we know the guacamole and tacos, during the Mexican cooking workshop we also work with lesser-known dishes and ingredients from this beautiful country.

America Hawaii cooking class

During the Hawaiian cooking class we will discuss the delicious cuisines that this American island has to offer. It is a combination of the cuisines of England, Japan and Polynesia. Important ingredients in many of the dishes are agricultural products, in addition to, for example, sea animals, pasta and beef. Many local restaurants serve rice and noodles, something that many people discover on their honeymoon. A large number of Asians live in Hawaii, which means that various influences from those cuisines can be found. Mauritius cooking class

During the Mauritius cooking class we will discuss the delicious cuisines that this magnificent island has to offer. Mauritius: long white beaches, deep blue sea surrounded by coral reef. That is the image most people have of this island. And it all fits!
Learn more during the Mauritanian cooking workshop. The cuisine of this island is so special because of the influence of its different inhabitants. Regional cuisine is a multicultural cuisine of the Indo-Mauritanians, Creoles, Chinese, French and English. Mauritians grow cane sugar on the island from which they distill the traditional rum (Chamarel), which we will certainly use in this workshop.

Italian cooking class

Fancy an Italian cooking class in Utrecht? It is many people’s favorite cuisine, and we understand why. During the cooking course we will work with deliciously fresh ingredients, with which we would like to teach you how to cook properly. We cook pasta, pesto, risottos and, for example, panna cotta, as well as other typical Italian dishes that we all love. We do this with fresh and pure ingredients, such as flour, eggs and oil. That way you make the pasta yourself, just like the other Italian dishes.

Do you know Down Under’s kitchen? During a cooking class for Australian cuisine, we will work with specialties from the different regions of this country. Think of the Crocodile curry, the Bunya Nut Soup and a traditional Aboriginal fish dish. Caribbean cooking class

The cooking class Caribbean cuisine is often a celebration of recognition, due to the crucible of influences from Spain, England, Africa, France, Portugal, China, Denmark and even the Netherlands. They have been the colonies of these countries and they brought their own dishes and spices at the time, making Caribbean cuisine known for its strong seasoning and wide variety of dishes. Have you been on holiday in Aruba, Curaçao, Dominican Republic or any other beautiful place in the Caribbean?  I’m sure you’ll recognize the next kitchen. During the cooking workshop for Caribbean cuisine we use, for example, onion, pepper, garlic and curry. We focus on the specialities of the different countries and islands, creating delicious dishes that you can of course enjoy together afterwards.

Cambodian cooking class

Curious about what Cambodian cuisine has in store for you? Then come along to our Cooking class Cambodia cuisine. In 3 hours we will take you on a culinary journey through this beautiful country and you will prepare a number of delicious dishes yourself. This makes the cooking workshop the perfect business outing, but also excellent for a day of entertainment with friends or family.

Cuban cooking class

Cuba is the land of salsa, although people know how to make fine dishes from very simple ingredients. These are discussed during the cooking class Cuban cuisine. In particular, the influences from Spain, France and large parts of Africa are clear, something that has to do with the past of, for example, the colonists. During this cooking workshop we use the national dish Arroz con Griz, among other things. Afterwards you can enjoy it together, we would of course be happy to tell you more about it during the cooking workshop.

Indonesian cuisine is known for cutting, chopping, mashing and stewing a lot.During the indonesian cooking class we will focus on these preparation methods, so that you can cook like the people in Indonesia do. We will start this cooking workshop with making the famous bamboo pasta and will end with a complete rice table. In between there is space for various herbs and spices. In this way we provide a fun cooking workshop for Indonesian cuisine, which ends with a delicious dinner that you can enjoy together.

Laos cooking class

Laos cooking class. Stickyrice, steamed fish in banana leaves, delicious strong fish sauce, lemongrass and Asian basil. These are just a few of the ingredients of the cuisine of Laos. Laos differs from other countries in Southeast Asia and the cuisine of Laos contains many special dishes that differ a lot from each other. What the dishes all have in common is that they often make use of all taste buds!

Malaysia itself does not actually have a very clear kitchen, it is a mix of Chinese, Indian, Arabic, Portuguese and English dishes. As you will see in the Malaysian cooking class. In addition, we of course make the most traditional and famous dish from Vietnam; we are working on the spring roll. During this cooking workshop for Vietnamese cuisine, we use various aromatic herbs and we get started with the wok. South african cooking class

During the South African cooking class we make extensive use of the different spices, so that we can put dishes with spice on the table. We are working on Irio, Carure and Bobotie among others; dishes that you may be familiar with from African cuisine. The unique thing about South African cuisine is the mix of flavors that the interference of settlers and immigrants from Europe and Asia has brought to South Africa. During the cooking workshop for South African cuisine, we prepare a number of typical dishes from this country, to put together the meal afterwards and to enjoy it together.

With our team (16 people) we did a very nice, cozy and well-groomed Italian cooking workshop at Sil. The location... itself was a bit of a search, but once inside you will find a very practical, clean and cozy kitchen, with very nice details! I had very pleasant contact with Sil beforehand and he was also very flexible. Dietary wishes (vega, halal) can be passed on and that is really taken into account (even with the drinks). Even people who can't cook very well can still do it here haha. Instructions are clear, Sil was around for tips & tricks and the workshop was very smooth and relaxed. We also laughed a lot! After cooking you all sit down at the table and enjoy! What delicious dishes we all made and ate together! Price/quality ratio is also excellent. Highly recommended!read more

We were a little late, the chef was absolutely stressed about the time, in the end we made the whole menu in record... time and had plenty of time left for dinner and drinks. The group downstairs was loud and the noise was not pleasant, there was no door to reduce the sound from the other group. Sufficient drinks provided, choice in drinks was somewhat limited with 1 red and 1 white wine. In the end a nice evening with a pleasant chef but there is some room for improvement.read more
