Whiskies are as diverse and complex as the regions they come from. They can have powerful and distinctive flavors, such as the deep smoke that evokes the crackling of a fire on a cold winter night. These smoky notes are often the result of malted barley being dried over a peat fire, a traditional method especially associated with Scottish whiskies from regions like Islay. Some have light, fruity notes reminiscent of green apples, pears, or even tropical fruits. Others may have hints of spices like vanilla, cinnamon, or nutmeg, stemming from the aging process in oak barrels.
Discover the finest dishes with whisky
Our whisky cooking workshop is a celebration of this rich diversity. We start with a tasting of six carefully selected whiskies from around the world. From the soft, sweet tones of an American bourbon to the spicy complexity of an Indian single malt, each whisky tells its own unique story. But what is good whisky without matching food? That’s why we pair each whisky with a street food dish from the same region. These worldly dishes are carefully chosen to complement and enhance the flavors of the whiskies. Whether you’re enjoying a smoky Scottish whisky with a piece of smoked salmon or a Japanese whisky with delicate sushi, you’ll experience a harmony of flavors that is both surprising and delicious.
