mprove your health and start with good nutrition. You have come across more and more about it on the internet in recent years. for example, you can find the piece “nutrition as medicine” on the site of wageningenuniversity. This piece provides a lot of information about nutrition as a medicine for good health. For example, it turns out that due to changes in dietary patterns and lifestyle, people with type 2 diabetes can sometimes stop injecting insulin completely themselves.

Nutrition as a pharmacy

Another example: kale. In kale there are glucosinolates, which are used in fresh vegetables, fruits, fish and meat products. Glucosinolates protect your body from the action of carcinogens (source: nutrition center). Glutathione creates a type of protein that in turn defuses toxins in your body. Don’t eat kale right after reading this piece of kale because that’s not good for your thyroid. In short, nutrition can help you keep your body healthy.

Cooking as medicine

We are not professors, doctors or people who have studied orthomolecular nutrition. But we can organize a nice cooking as a medicine cooking workshop for you! During this cooking workshop we cook with you from the books of Dale Pinnock (“cooking as medicine” and “eat yourself healthy”). These books contain a lot of information about what properties the ingredients possess that can strengthen your health. An example recipe of this can be seen below elaborated.
